AZ - The Expert for the inspection of tyre mould systems

The curing is the final step in the complex production process for new tyres. Tyre moulds are also responsible for the best optical appearance, one of the major sales tools. Continuous investment in new moulds are essential and necessary to keep up with the standards of modern tyre development.

New construction of tread designs should meet not only the steadily increasing technical requirements like – higher speed strain capacity – better wet skid and riding performance – reduced noise level - reduction of wear and fuel consumption and now always more important, the best optical appearance.

This is one of the main reasons, why tyre companies present, like the fashion industry, in short cycles, new tyre lines.

A-Z Formen- und Maschinenbau GmbH with production facilities in Germany and Czech Republic has been a manufacturer of moulds and mould closing systems, serving the tyre industry in 38 countries for more than 40 years.

To keep up with the innovations and increasing demands in the tyre construction, AZ is constantly upgrading its production procedures and standards.

Based on specific customer structural information, the A-Z internal design department together with the mould construction engineers develop complete production mould lines.
Whatever the customer demands, AZ offers different methods of mould technologies, including the corresponding service to provide the right solution and to guarantee customer satisfaction like:

• High precision tread pattern by casting technology in our in-house aluminium foundry to provide the ideal solution for complex tread designs or large mould series
• Tread pattern by direct engraving in steel or aluminium alloy
• Mould closing systems (“Container”) in lubrication free construction for all available mould and curing press systems.
• Inspection equipment for the independent inspection of moulds and containers for mould manufacturers or end users.

During tyre curing and/or cleaning, wear will create deviations from the original dimensions on moulds and/or containers and influence the quality or appearance of the tyre.

The easy and efficient interim inspection by the mould service people in the tyre plant should secure the permanent quality for these cost intensive products.

By own extensive experience, AZ Formen-und Maschinenbau GmbH developed the AZ-IT- 2000 a high precision 3-D CNC mould measuring device. The AZ IT - 2000 inspection table is used by new tyre production plants and by independent manufactures of tyre moulds as well. The printed inspection sheet will be accepted as quality certificate by the customer
