A2B relocation
Moving your employees from or to Germany and Austria will involve many open questions and complex issues e.g. the adjustments to be made when arriving in a new environment bear considerable weight on motivation and job performance. Only after the new arrivals’ quick and smooth integration, can success be achieved all round.

With globalisation trends in business today, corporate spending on relocation solutions is rising steadily in Germany and Austria. Consulting and counselling are two of the key issues in guaranteeing efficient relocation and repatriation. Only by consulting and counselling to specialised needs are relocation costs optimised. A2B Relocation provides this sound professional experience and support, taking away your major worries from A to B so that your employees can concentrate on the “to be” aspect and are free to focus on tasks and challenges in the new job.

A2B Relocation, a German and Austrian based firm, was founded 8 years ago - from scratch, having ourselves experienced at first hand the stresses and strains of moving, but even more the striving and thriving connected with living and working as expats worldwide.

We ensure you receive what our definition of relocation is all about – relating personally to you at the new location. Relate + Locate = Relocate

We can provide a long list of scenarios which confirm why it is so vital to have professional relocators look after the transferee and inform them in advance of any issues to consider in Germany and Austria. Here are a few examples:

  • For most non-EU nationals, driving lessons need to be arranged for a compulsory German driving license. This is at best a very time consuming, costly and a mind boggling experience. If you do not comply with this regulation and are caught, fines of at least € 5000 plus a driving ban in Germany forever are the results.
  • Credit card usage is still uncommon, typically accepted only in restaurants, petrol stations and very few large department stores. All other shops only accept the EC card (Euro Cash card) or cash.
  • It is compulsory to register your residence with the local authorities. Failure to do so can result in prosecution.
  • Opening hours of shops are more limited than in most other countries. For instance on Saturday afternoon and all of Sunday, all shops are closed.
  • In general the rules and regulations for living in rented property can be very specific – examples include; you must not make loud noise during 1 and 3 pm on weekdays or the whole Sunday, no lawn-mowing or children playing loudly, even washing your car on the street is not allowed.

The list goes on:

  • What do you do if a transferee gets into a legal dispute and can't speak a word of German? …
  • Where do you find a dental surgeon who speaks French and specialises in Swiss Braces techniques?…
  • Who will call the locksmith if the door shuts on you on a Sunday evening? …
  • Why can an expat only lease a car with a valid residence permit, which can take up to 3 months to obtain? …
  • Who will hold your hand in the case that you have a sensitive medical issue and can’t communicate it? …
  • How will you find an English speaking nannie if the authorities require you to speak German to get a work permit for her?

A2B Relocation performs services with the same personal care and attention to detail whether in Cologne, Munich or any major city in Germany and Austria.
