Aermid Health Care Plc provides a wide range of healthcare services across the UK from the mountains of Scotland to Plymouth by the sea. Our services encompass residential and nursing care for Older People, Home Care, Day Care and Learning Disabilities Services. In addition, we are developing community focused Mental Health and Substance Misuse services.

We provide care in partnership with service users, their families and friends. By locating our services together we provide a continuum of care across home care, day care and long term residential care. We endeavour at all times to assist our service users in maintaining their independence, exercise choice and live life to the full.

Aermid began as a small family company in 1999 with 40 beds and has steadily grown to operate 639 beds across the UK.

Catering to the changing environment within the care sector the management team at Aermid comprises professionals with nursing and medical backgrounds from the NHS and the private sector.

Throughout our services we offer a range of accommodation options in en-suite single, double and garden rooms. The special needs of the older person and those with learning disabilities are incorporated in the aesthetic design, colour, co-ordination and comfortable furnishings within the homes which are complimented by essential security facilities.

We provide our residents with a variety of choice in their lifestyle. In our homes for Older People we provide a choice of wholesome meals prepared from fresh ingredients. We ensure that special dietary needs are met and throughout the day a choice of cakes, biscuits and fresh fruits are available.

The right environment for a choice of activity is available. There are lounges with a view of gardens for quiet relaxation and for enjoying a variety of programs on satellite television and video. There is a choice of other stimulating activities, including art therapy, music, house games and producing a residents' newsletter. Medical provision includes regular visits from a doctor, physiotherapist, optician, dentist and chiropodist. Spiritual needs are met by visiting clergy of all denominations.

Aermid ensures a quality care service through its philosophy, focus on key performance indicators within the care sector and working pro-actively with the Commission of Social Care Inspection, local authorities and the Care Associations. Our homes for those with learning difficulties are pleasant residential areas and are small and homely to ensure a family atmosphere where residents are assured of personal attention. We believe that by providing care in this way we are able to provide for residents with significant challenging behavior and also to ensure that they continue to live within the community.

Our expertise includes providing Home Health Care services and we are diversifying from personal care for older people to include palliative care, learning difficulties support and tele-homecare.
