What We Do

From its headquarters in Virginia, Agility DGS serves a broad range of defense and government customers by providing comprehensive solutions. Leveraging the resources of 450 offices in over 100 countries, Agility’s global team supports each customer with local knowledge and a commitment to quality service.

Among the company’s high-profile operations, under its Prime Vendor contract with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Agility DGS is responsible for providing food for up to four meals a day for military personnel in Iraq. Feeding the troops requires a massive global supply chain that conducts each step — buying, shipping, storage and delivery — with amazing precision.

There is significant value in tasking Agility with the job of buying and shipping food to Iraq. First, outsourcing to Agility replaces between 3,000 and 5,000 military personnel, allowing them to focus on their core mission. There is also cost savings to the customer, including reduced storage and maintenance fees.

Commitment to Social Responsibility

Realizing the importance of its global outreach capabilities, Agility has a proven track record of providing emergency expeditionary logistics services in some of the world’s most challenging environments—from war zones to natural disasters areas.

Agility’s humanitarian support missions include:

•  On behalf of a UNICEF anti-malaria campaign, Agility provides warehousing and shipping services of 200,000+ mosquito nets per month to various at-risk locations in Africa and South Asia. Agility manages the full supply chain system and coordinates with multiple vendors in India, China and France, in support of this humanitarian effort. Agility has been recognized by UNICEF for reducing transit times— from production sites to final delivery points—by 25 percent, thus increasing overall efficiency and productivity for this much-needed program.

Agility also runs a pro bono Humanitarian and Emergency Logistics Program (HELP) to bring expeditionary logistics to disaster preparedness and response efforts.

Past projects include:

•  Joining with other private sector companies to create Logistics Emergency Teams (LETs) that can be deployed within 48 hours to help manage crisis situations. 
•  Training over 30 humanitarian logisticians from NGOs in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan on the principles of Supply Chain management at a “Humanitarian Logistics” training course held in India.

Commitment to Integrity

As a company that complies with multi-government contracting and financial regulations, Agility’s strong drive to serve with integrity is reflected in company policies. Agility has built and implemented a robust ethics program that is mandatory for employees involved in contracting and procurement activities. The cornerstones of this effort are the Premier Compliance Program, an initiative that rewards employees for reporting questionable activities, and Integrity Interactive, a Web-based ethics course required of all contracting employees. Agility views these programs as top priorities to ensure its customers’ trust.
