The
equipment can be deployed from almost any dynamically-positioned vessel,
vastly reducing power and personnel requirements compared to conventional
plough or jet sled solutions. Our ground-breaking water-powered SeaVator, deployed by winch or on drillpipe, can excavate in any water depth. For harder soils our Claycutter X can excavate stiff clays up to 385 kPa - ideal for pipeline route preparation.
Because the SeaVator equipment never makes contact with the seabed or subsea assets, SeaVator excavators are also ideal for pipeline free-span and crossing correction - even on live pipelines - and uncovering subsea architecture for IRM and decommissioning purposes. Mass Flow Excavation is particularly suited to rock dump removal and sand-wave levelling – two tasks that are slow and expensive using any other method.
Complete control over excavation activity is provided by two sonar heads
deployed at 90 degrees to one another on the tool body, giving a real-time
view of excavation activities.
Other
survey and bathymetric equipment can be mounted on the SeaVator body as
required.
With more than twenty years’ experience in hydrodynamic seabed excavation, AGR has the equipment, personnel and backup to ensure that every job will be delivered safely and professionally – including those difficult jobs that other equipment simply cannot do.
Our 3750 hp diesel-driven water pumps are suitable for other activities including temporary water injection and pipeline flooding. In addition to seabed excavation AGR Subsea Ltd is the UK outlet for RMR (Riserless Mud Recovery) and CTS (Cutting Transport Systems).
