

AIRCAR – efficient ground transportation at Charles de Gaulle and Orly
AIRCAR an ACI and IATA member, and a subsidiary of the Transdev Group, today provides ground transportation of passengers and crews at Paris’s Airports, Charles de Gaulle and Orly.
In order to respond to standards of quality, AIRCAR and its subsidiary AEROPASS have undertaken an ISO 9001 certification complied on June 2003.

Training program
As part of our quality project, we negotiated a training program adapted to our supervision / control requirements, including English language courses targeted on our services linked to the air transport sector.
All AIRCAR’s, AEROPASS’s and FLYBUS’s drivers have received dedicated training in order to maintain high level of qualification for each staff members who are constantly informed and updated on changes in the field and platform regulations in force.

Services offered
Crew transportation by AIRCAR
Nearly 40 airlines, including major companies such as Air France, British Airways, Alitalia, Varig, Air India, TAM, SAA, Saudia Airlines, Thai, Lan Chile, ANA, UPS, Vietnam Airlines currently rely on AIRCAR to serve their 800 daily flights on time.
Every day 80 coaches ( from 10 to 50 seats) and several small vehicles (less than 10 seats) are ensuring several hundred crew transfers between hotels or airline operation centers and their planes.
Passengers transportation by AEROPASS
Every day AEROPASS, the AIRCAR’s subsidiary in charge of ground transportation for Air France’s passengers, as well as for 32 airlines assisted by Air France at Roissy CDG 2, with its 103 buses including 30 brand new Cobus and 13 mobile lounges operates 800 round trips, serving 400 flights, transporting more than 40,000 passengers airside.
With today’s growth in air traffic and the increasing number of HUBS concentrated in CDG 2, AEROPASS is effectively responding to the needs of airlines with :
- Passenger transfer by busses or mobile-lounges between terminals and planes parked on a remote parking,
- Transport of passengers in transit within the restricted customs area to the five CDG 2 Terminals,
AEROPASS has established a dedicated structure serving the Aviation Industry with :
- 216 drivers, 14 dispatchers, 2 mechanics, 22 supervisors and operation assistant managers, trained management,
- A fleet of new buses maintained by a dedicated department with the concern for a policy in terms of the environment
Passengers transportation by FLYBUS
Every day FLYBUS, the AIRCAR’s and MARMARA’ s subsidiary in charge of ground transportation for at Roissy CDG 1 & 3, with its 16 buses including 9 brand new Cobus 3000 and 2700 (the famous and efficient airport buses manufactured by Contrac) make an average of 120 round trips, serving 60 flights, transporting more than 7,000 passengers airside.
Dispatch Center
Allocation control rooms has been introduced , operating around the clock, 7 days a week to ensure the high service standard that AIRCAR, AEROPASS and FLYBUS offer theirs customers.
Equipped with systems recognized by all air transport operators such as separate TVM monitors, SITA, the AEROPASS’s dispatchers today manage these unpredictable disruptions and irregularities of the operation in real-time.
High performance software tools and other means needed to be implemented in order to provide such a high level of efficiency and service to customers. Among these are:
- A powerful private radio system ensuring direct communications with all drivers,
- A sophisticated IT resource allocation and management tool has been developed and ensures the real-time allocation of staff and equipment Real-time tracking of all vehicles,
- Upgrading of data transmission via the DATA system and the installation of onboard units in buses.
These and other sophisticated technologies will also enable AIRCAR to face future challenges of continuously growing air traffic and to support its customers in successfully dealing with increasing competition in the aviation industry.
