
Created in 1992 with funds supplied by the European Union and Greek corporations, ALBA is a not-for-profit educational organization for graduate studies in Business Administration. ALBA operates under the auspices of the Federation of Greek Industries (ΣΕΒ), the Hellenic Management Association (ΕΕΔΕ), and the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ΕΒΕΑ). It is an association of corporations, currently numbering 42.
ALBA’s mission is to be the leading centre of academic excellence in business administration in Greece and the greater Southeastern European and Eastern Mediterranean areas. It aims to foster a new generation of executives who will be highly qualified for distinguished careers in international business and equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills for becoming agents and catalysts of change and development in the region.
To
fulfil its mission, ALBA employs a strategy comprising of six
components: close links with the business community; a highly competitive
admissions process for all its academic programs; a generous need-based
financial assistance program for deserving individuals, to ensure that they
can attend the full-time MBA Program; constantly upgrading of its teaching
and learning environment and facilities, with special emphasis on providing
excellent service to the students’ educational and professional needs;
international scope, by welcoming faculty and students from all around the
world, as well as by cooperating with leading international business
schools; active promotion of academic research in close collaboration with
distinguished academics worldwide, in order to create new knowledge.
