Flexibility to Provide a Complete Solution
ALSTOM Power Rentals’ experienced personnel can execute all aspects of a power generation project. We can assist with planning and permitting, evaluate specific mechanical and electrical requirements, carry out the installation and then operate and maintain the generation plant if necessary. We also provide flexible and innovative finance packages to get you up and running quickly. A recent 20MW power plant project was operational within 60 days of the contract signature! In this particular case, ALSTOM Power Rentals was responsible for all aspects of the power plant, with its customer simply purchasing KW hours.

ALSTOM Power Rentals’ product line consists of highly efficient and transportable dual fuel gas turbines as well as smaller diesel generating sets, which allow us to provide power generation solutions of any size.

The Tempest is a single-shaft industrial gas turbine that delivers 7.90 MW(e) of electrical power and has been utilized in a wide variety of power generation applications. The dual fuel Tempest offers high efficiency and low emissions, in a compact and easy to install package that can be operated at either 50 or 60Hz. This unit can also be supplied with an HRSG to further increase efficiency.

The diesel driven power module is based upon a 16 cylinder, quad turbocharged engine that delivers 2MW(e) and is also dual frequency. The engine is delivered in a standard ISO 40ft shipping container for rapid deployment.

A heavy fuel oil burning reciprocating engine has been developed to support areas lacking access to higher quality diesel fuels. This containerized engine is able to operate on a wide range of liquid fuels and its robust design ensures long life with minimum maintenance. The package is shipped preassembled to ensure projects can be executed quickly and efficiently.

Transformers
By transforming and interconnecting with existing transmission systems, ALSTOM Power Rentals’ generating systems can help you boost power levels in lesser-supported sections of an existing grid. As such, we supply voltage transformation equipment that is easily integrated with either plant-level or substation facilities in low, medium, and high voltage applications. ALSTOM Power Rentals’ voltage transformation equipment can meet any system requirement, including multi-tap, grounding, winding configuration, and cooling. Moreover, our technology-independent approach not only facilitates rapid deployment and installation, but also fulfills the varying ambient conditions, regulatory and certifying agency requirements, and world-wide locations.
