The ALTRACK System is an Anode and Rod Tracking and Quality Control System - a vital tool in securing total quality control in the Primary Aluminium Industry.

The ALTRACK system uses binary dotcode markings on all carbon anodes and rods, hence enabling full traceability. Data is automatically acquired from video cameras, dotcode scanners and other equipment. ALTRACK automatically delivers management reports with pre-set data about anodes, rods, stubs, conditions of the baking kilns, the quality of the cast iron used for rod/anode sealing, and other operational parameters. Weighing of anode assemblies and butts allows optional calculation of net carbon consumption and conditions in electrolytic cells. ALTRACK's functionality allows it to be used also as a control system, routing defective anodes, rods, and anode assemblies for maintenance.

The ALTRACK-DMM System is a complete Asset Information and Management System. Initially developed for the electrical generating and tranmission industry, and based on the international KKS coding system for power plant and transmission equipment, ALTRACK-DMM has been adapted to the stringent requirements of the Primary Aluminium Industry with an analagous AKS coding. ALTRACK-DMM connects seamlessly to standard financial and inventory systems, such as SAP^®, Navision Financials^®, Concorde^®. ALTRACK-DMM is a vitally important tool for all smelters certified to or working towards ISO9000 and ISO14000 certification, including upgrades to the new ISO9000:2000.

Completely Revised and Updated

For the past several years ALTECH has published a World Map of Primary Aluminium Smelters. The World Map has proven extremely popular with industry professionals as an important reference source.

The latest issue, completely revised and updated, and printed in full colour 650 x 1000 mm, is plastic laminated. Despatch is in a protective tube, and delivery is by DHL Worldwide Courier.
