Wireless antennas for Communications, Navigation and Security

Andrew designs and manufactures a complete range of single, dual and tri-band antennas for 800/900 MHz cellular & data, 1.8/1.9 Ghz PCS/PCN, L-Band digital audio, S-Band satellite radio, GPS, 300/400Mhz data and custom applications.

Various mounting configurations are available including glass mount, body mount, concealed, magnetic mount, window clip and trunk mount.

Active components include GPS LNA, S-Band LNA and AGC.

Other manufactured products include coaxial cable harnesses, coil cord assemblies & antennas for keyless entry applications.

Mechanical design capabilities

Product designs are taken from concept to volume production through Andrew’s mechanical design and analysis capabilities including 3D solid modeling. Our sophisticated design process allows a seamless exchange of information and drawings through e-mail or the Internet. In house design tools include Pro-Engineering rev. 20 Solid Modeling software, SDRC IDEAS 7.1 Modeling software & AutoCAD 14.

Electrical design capabilities

Our team of dedicated RF engineers are able to design products specially suited to your requirements. Andrew holds over 50 innovative design patents. In house design tools include HFSS 7.0 Electromagnetic modeling software, OrCAD PCB design software, 400mhz – 2.5 Ghz Tapered anechoic chamber, high frequency chambers and an outdoor range.

Staff members are active in the following standards bodies: EIA/TIA-329B-1 minimum standards for vehicular antennas, TIA TR 45.1.4 Phone to vehicle interface standardization, IDB Forum and various customer standardization efforts including Motorola, Ford, Visteon and OnStar.

Prototyping

With capabilities including SLA Rapid prototyping 3D Systems 250/50 stereo Lithography, CNC, sprayed metal and direct aim tooling, Andrew’s in-house prototyping provides engineering samples and low volume builds in an efficient and economic manner.

Validation

Andrew’s in-house laboratory conducts electrical, mechanical and weathering testing on all products to exceed ASTM, SAE and OEM standards. This testing includes Temperature Shock, Humidity/water ingress, Corrosion, UV stability, Vibration, glass adhesion and other product specific tests.

Manufacturing

Andrew is ready to respond to the ever-changing wireless market with a state of the art manufacturing center. High efficiency production and in-line testing capabilities significantly reduce cycle times.
