ASG Logistics is a provider of integrated third-party logistics (ITL) services, assuming full responsibility for the entire supply chains, from production to final delivery to the customer's customer - including required support through an advanced IT-platform. Assignments are carried out almost exclusively via multi-user facilities, whereby several customers are served by the same logistics centre, resulting in cost-effective operations that exploit economies of scale and synergies between product flows.

ASG Logistics has the market-leading position in Northern Europe, operating in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. In 1998, the operations comprised 24 logistics centres. In 1999, the company's strong organic growth was supplemented by two acquisitions. OVD Logistikk in Oslo with focus on the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector making it the largest independent logistics supplier in Norway .

The acquisition of EAC Logistics, operating in China, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore, in combination with ASG Logistics' own earlier establishment in Thailand, means that ASG's operating base with 15 logistics centres, now represents one of the more extensive logistics networks in East Asia. This is particularly so in China, where 11 EDI-connected logistics centres comprise a unique platform for multinational companies with goods flows to and/or from the country.

Major customers include Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Mazda, Hyundai, Citroën, Shell, Unilever, Johnson&Johnson, Mars, KFC, Nike, Joh.Johannson, ICA, Bosch, Siemens, Allied Domecq and UDV.

ASG Logistics has established a strong operational network in northern Europe and East Asia, where its experienced, well-trained logistics personnel have access to a modern, state-of-the-art IT-platform. ASG Logistics also possesses the financial resources necessary to further expand its logistics network, which is an important element to the international customer base targeted by the company's marketing strategy.

ASG Logistics and the Automotive Industry

Since 1992 ASG Logistics has undertaken an extensive commitment to Ford Motor Co. that includes warehousing and distribution to all Fords’s dealers in the Nordic countries. This commitment covers the responsibility of investing into the warehouse itself, storage and handling equipment. The responsibility of design, development and maintenance of the administrative computer systems for the warehousing and distribution also lies upon ASG Logistics. The commitment encompasses approximately 30,000 stored parts, 2.5 million dealer orderlines per year, and distribution to 356 dealers throughout Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.

ASG Logistics is since 1995 running a similar, but also very different operation in Enköping. The operation is a multi-brand operation taking care of the parts and distribution for Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, and Nissan. The extent of this operation is approximately 60,000 stored parts and an outbound flow of 1,000,000 orderlines yearly to 380 dealers.

Partnership expands. ASG Logistics established in 1996 in Bangkok a warehousing and distribution function for Ford. This has now expanded to also include Mazda and AAT, which is a joint-venture between Ford and Mazda producing pick-up trucks for the world market.

A 14,000m2 warehouse with 40,000 part numbers is serving some 300 Ford and Mazda dealers in Thailand with spare-parts and also the world export market with AAT spare-parts as a supplying source. The outbound volume is approximately 400,000 orderlines yearly.
