Atherm is a privately owned company working with the main aluminum groups in the world. It is specialized in thermal global solutions from advice, including thermal and mechanical design, up to installation and training on site of turn key heating systems comprising electrical immersion heaters, electrical control board, and supervision on line on request.

Our target is to maintain liquid aluminium at the right temperature thanks to immersion heaters. The advantages of a heating method in the heart of metal are no corundum, a high metal quality as it is not overheated, great temperature homogeneity, and the possibility of dynamic reheating.

Atherm has developed a wide range of heaters from 3 up to 40 kW. Among them some are more specifically dedicated to the transportation of liquid aluminium. On one end of the chain heaters with long sheath can be used by founders to reheat their full ladles before delivery to their customers. On the other end of this chain, customers have the possibility to use the ladle as a furnace. For this typical application a powerful heater (40kW) has been developed. Its main characteristics are his ability to work partly emerged so that the operator keeps going on heating till the ladle is empty; it can also remain in the ladle when tipping out aluminium, saving this time.

As each application is particular, our R&D department is trained to study each case, helping the user finding the right solution, inventing new concepts, demonstrating in our clients’ premises that our products meet the requirement. Such strong partnership enables the realization of new answers to real needs such as our “heatpack”. The urgent need in power in a furnace or ladle before aluminium coagulates often occurs. Heatpack brings up to 20kW where required within a few minutes just in plugging the compact electrical cabinet.
