Between 2000-2010 there will be a massive 75% increase in turnover in the automotive supply industry.
The factors underpinning this growth include:
- A 16% increase in the world-wide demand for cars during the period 2000-2010 from 49.2 million to 57.1 million
- A 30-40% increase in demand for electronic car devices such as navigation systems and parking pilots
- A 15% increase in outsourcing of production and development by manufacturers
