AWL-Techniek: joining performance!

The company
AWL-Techniek has grown from a specialist in resistance welding to a system integrator for all joining techniques. With over 35 years of experience, the company has developed into a solid partner for customers in very diverse branches. Over the last ten years it has shown a solid and steady growth. More than 150 employees are now working at our premises in Harderwijk to idea, execute, implement and market our equipment. Our machines, although concentrated within the boundaries of the European Union, are also sold to all corners of the World.

Activities and technologies
The company basically exists of two departments: Machine building and Equipment manufacturing. Availability of all necessary equipment and highly capable and trained personnel makes it possible for us to execute the whole trajectory from studies to building and service under one roof!

Machine building
In this department all products are custom made. Whether it is a standard machine or a complex automatic installation, the wishes and requirements of our clients is our starting point.

A few examples of the products we make, are:

• Standard resistance welding machines
• Gantry type welding machines
• Basic modules: a pre-engineered concept in which one or more robots are put to joining the product, a flexible installation with short lead-times, because only limited adaptations have to be made for adjustment of the basic module to the customer's product and production.
• Special installations with either completely or partly automated functions. With one or more joining techniques involved. Flexible installations that are completely custom-made. Our experience base is large, enabling us to tackle virtually any problem. It's our challenge.

Equipment manufacturing
This department is characterized by the great diversity of products it manufactures. Some of the activities are: construction of frames for production installations, manufacturing of skid-mounted process installations and loading arms. AWL-Techniek operates in two different ways: as a contractor for the whole project, or as a subcontractor.

Markets

Our innovative solutions in machine building and equipment manufacturing find their way to many companies worldwide in very diverse branches: automotive tier1 and tier2 suppliers, steel furniture manufacturers, building systems industry and packaging industry as well as any other sheet metal, wire and pipe processing industry.

Project management

What makes AWL-Techniek so different from its competitors? Well, one of the answers to this question lies in the corporate project management approach; for each project, whether it is small or large, a project manager is assigned who takes care of all commercial and technical aspects, from the first drawing to the final adjustments at the site of our customer. This approach ensures good and short communication lines as well as quality through the whole process, resulting in a good final product: a machine or installation that fulfils and sometimes even succeeds the customer's expectations!
