Portable power products will provide new levels of flexibility and reliability without noisy, combustion-based engines or bulky batteries. Stationary products will create high-quality, dependable electricity for homes and businesses without high-voltage transmission lines and central generating plants. Fuel cell-powered buses and automobiles will perform to consumer expectations with far less pollution.

Ballard’s Transportation Division develops, manufactures and markets fuel cell components, modules and engines for the transportation market. Ballard’s Electric Drive and Power Conversion Division is commercializing electric drives for both fuel cell and battery-powered electric vehicles and power conversion equipment for fuel cells, microturbines and related distributed generation products. Ballard’s Material Products Division is a Tier 1 automotive supplier of friction materials for powertrain components and a supplier of gas diffusion layer materials to the fuel cell industry. Ballard’s Power Generation Division is responsible for the commercialization of fuel cell power generation equipment.

Our customers benefit from research and development, electrochemistry, carbon materials expertise and our electric drive and power conversion knowledge.
