Formed in 1991, Cherwell-M40 Investment Partnership was created as an innovative approach to the needs of businesses coming to North Oxfordshire. The partnership, commonly referred to by those involved as ‘CHIP’ brought together Cherwell District Council, local commercial property agents and developers, as well as other key individuals & organisations concerned with local economic development. This partnership has worked together to promote and develop the area continually since its inception, with marked results.

For the last four years, unemployment in the District has hovered around the 1% mark.
