PERMANENT OR PORTABLE REAL-TIME DETECTION OF OBJECTS UNDER VEHICLES

To simplify installation, the Comm Port UVSS system includes a complete array of integrated and tested components and accessories:

Rugged inspection ramp: This is the Only Ramp that is constructed from heavy-duty galvanized steel to withstand up to 48 Tons from stationary or mobile vehicles. Steel-ramp sections can be added easily for wider roads or multiple lanes. The Camera and Lights are all in the ramps included, there is no need to construct or bury the cameras in the ground or to dig a pit for installing a metal box to house camera. No need to worry about a 18 wheel loaded trailer going over it.

Real Time Detection: Unlike Line scan systems this is a real time solution, no gray scale or B/W line scan images to compare. Looks exactly like your natural eyes see. No time delay for scan images to appear. No need for expensive computer systems to install for image processing.

Configuration: ramps can be permanently mounted with a permanent control cabling system or with a portable control system for portable applications. The Length of the ramps can be customized as per the lane width – so that way you are not stuck with any particular size.

Long-life cameras: each UVSS ramp contains high-resolution waterproof, color video cameras. Each camera incorporates a scratch-resistant sapphire-crystal lens in a water proof housing. Cameras can be individually angled. Fixed focus lens operates between 0.5in and 50ft for maximum depth of field. The Camera housing also comes with a life time warranty.

Advanced Monitoring System: Designed as a stand-alone system that can simultaneously output real time Video with an advanced codec algorithm delivers high-resolution, Video feed to NTSC or PAL monitors. Images can be stored on a local or network hard drive. Events can be stamped by time and date. The new added features are:

• Video Stitching – You can view up to 4 different cameras and stitch the Video as one landscape view for viewing. So as far as a person’s eye is concerned they are viewing it just like one screen of 4 different cameras as one total under carriage of a vehicle.
• Comparison - Previous and current comparison on the same screen. Now you can compare two different images of the same vehicle from their last visit in to the area.
• LPR – License Plate recognition system incorporated on the same system as well. Approved list or visitor list, comparison of list from previous visits compared to the current status. Detection assembly manufactured out of high definition system for night vision and colored plates from different regions and different languages. Special Filters incorporated in LPR assembly for different intensity plates.

Installation: Simple to install, one person needed to install, no expensive underground boxes to install, no Cooling or heating ducting required to install in ground even in extreme hot or cold regions.

Monitors: System are supplied by default with Flat Screen LCD monitors. Industrial version LCD screens.

Long-life illumination: each camera incorporates very bright, long-life led lights, ensuring successful imaging in extreme low light conditions. Variable intensity lighting does not produce condensation or fog within the camera / lighting enclosure. 10000 Lumens of Light with 100,000 hours of operational Guarantee. No Halogen bulbs are used in this system, all illumination is thru LED’s. so no expensive maintenance to do or replacing Halogen bulbs every few hundred hours.

Cabling: a single, 20m (65ft) waterproof and weather-rated control cable is included; distance between the ramp and control unit should not exceed 300m (984ft). Connectors are sealed, weather resistant MIL-C-5015 type. Optional fiber-optic transmission systems for long distances are available.
