Dantherm Air Handling - Military mobile Heating, Air Conditioning and Power Generation Equipment

Since 1958 Dantherm Air Handling has developed and manufactured air-handling equipment to provide a generation with healthy and comfortable environments. In association with NATO member countries, Dantherm Air Handling has developed mobile heating, air conditioning and power generation equipment for use in military applications in the most extreme conditions. Their adoption as NATO standard is proof that the most severe demands have been met.

Dantherm Air Handling not only design, develop, and manufacture portable heating and cooling solutions. Based on almost 50 years experience from warm air heaters, dehumidifiers and air handling units Dantherm Air Handling also has developed a strong competence within electronics cooling. The cooling knowledge is primarily used for solutions to the telecom sector (including TETRA).

MOBILE HEATER type VAM 15 MK II

The VAM 15 MK II (heat output 15 kW) is a handy, compact, mobile heater, which is easy to transport and make ready for use. Easy to operate, robust and extremely reliable, the VAM 15 MK II mobile heater is ideal for providing heat and ventilation to tents, vehicles, etc., in all climatic conditions.

The unit is easily transportable by vehicle to field locations and generous handles along each side allow it to be carried over rough terrain. The VAM 15 MK II is used by the armed forces of several NATO countries and Relief Agencies around the world.

MOBILE HEATER type VAM 40 MK II

The VAM 40 MK II (heat output 38 kW) is a robust, mobile heater with dual inlet and outlet ports providing high heat output and adjustable airflow. The VAM 40 MK II features either a hardened lifting point for a crane and / or built-in rails for lifting with a fork truck. If the VAM diesel generator is used this can be fitted direct onto the unit for transport and for actual use. The VAM 40 MK II is used by the armed forces of several NATO countries as well as by civilian aid organisations.

AIR CONDITIONER type ACM 5

Small compact air conditioner (cooling output 5kW) for cooling of military shelters. Together with the trap door system the air conditioner is mounted in an opening in the shelter. During transport, or when not in use the unit is pushed back into the shelter and the trap door locked.

The ACM 7 MK II (cooling output 7kW) is a mobile air conditioning unit developed primarily to provide air conditioning in transportable buildings or tents.

This air conditioning unit supplies a better working environment to all confined areas and by cooling the air not only provides greater comfort but also protect equipment and materials from damage. The air conditioner is fitted with flexible air hoses and the unit itself must be located outside. It is controlled by a remote thermostat which is to be located within the area to be cooled. The ACM 7 can be equipped with an electric heating coil to provide heating for example for night time when temperatures can fall under 20°C.

ACM 18 CBRN is designed for applications where a sealed shelter is required.

The ACM 18 (cooling output 18kW) is designed for air conditioning in temporary or transportable buildings and tents. It is a small lightweight unit made of aluminium and built into a rigid steel frame.

The unit is designed to be placed outside, with supply air and return air ducted to one tent. For field hospitals where COLPRO is not required, but a higher filtration than for normal accommodation is wanted, a dual filtration system for the internal air path is available.

The ACM 18 can be equipped with an electric heating coil to provide heating for example for night time when temperatures can fall under 20°C.

PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONER ACM 18 CBRN

The ACM 18 air conditioner is also available as a split system. ACM 18 CBRN is designed for applications where a sealed shelter is required.

The ACM 18 CBRN (cooling output 18 kW) is designed for air conditioning in temporary or transportable buildings and tents.

The ACM 18 CBRN is a small lightweight unit made of aluminium and built into a rigid steel frame. The unit is designed to operate on COLPRO applications with the evaporator module placed inside the shelter and the condenser placed outside. The two modules are interconnected by refrigerant hoses, power and control cables.

The two units can also operate with both modules placed outside, with supply air and return air ducted to one tent. A dual filtration system for the internal air path is available for selective filtration.

The ACM 18 CBRN can be equipped with an electric heating coil to provide heating for example for night time when temperatures can fall under 20°C.

CUSTOM-DESIGNED HEATING AND COOLING UNITS

In addition to the above-mentioned mobile heating and cooling units, Dantherm Air Handling also design, develop and manufacture custom-designed heating and cooling units. From many years of experience we know that defence forces often require specific custom-designed products. Staffed with a dedicated group of highly skilled engineers, designers, and technicians, the Dantherm Air Handling R&D department has the potential to take up any challenge when it comes to designing new customized products.
