Our Expertise has been developed in internationally recognised standards, e.g. ISO 9000, QS-9000, ISO 14001, and also in achieving and maintaining specific company quality recognition awards, e.g. Ford Motor Company's Q1 award. TDA is the lead supplier of QS-9000 & quality related training to Ford Motor Company in the UK..

TDA is totally committed to quality and continuous improvement. We believe that it is essential that organisations adopt a company-wide quality philosophy to ensure that customers' expectations are satisfied.

TDA Products

In addition to its extensive range of training courses, TDA is also at the forefront in the provision of facilitated workshops. In these workshops, TDA and its client personnel jointly apply proven methodologies and processes to client's special issues and requirements regarding Quality and Environmental Management Systems implementation (including FMEA, Problem Solving, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, etc…).

Courses

Below is a selection from TDA's portfolio of courses and workshops. To review the wider range of courses available click on the link below to enter the TDA Website.

An Induction to Quality Engineering Methods

This is an intensive course that covers a wide range of quality and engineering methodologies, it defines their purpose, the links between them, when and where to use them and how they support each other in the drive for continuous improvement.

Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)

The purpose of Advanced Product Quality Planning is to ensure that new product or design change programme objectives are met, in terms of being delivered on time, within budget and to specification.

Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA)

Failure Mode and Effects Analysis identifies potential failures before they occur, then goes on to establish the potential effects of the failures, their cause, how often and when they may occur and their potential severity.

Control Planning

Control Planning is a systematic and effective way to build process knowledge for control. It is a thinking process that strategically uses many engineering and quality tools to prepare robust control plans.

Practical Problem Solving

By using a highly visible five step approach delegates will understand how any problem, from the day to day variety to the more complex, can be resolved effectively by identifying and eliminating the root cause of the problem, whilst at the same time minimising time "off - the - job".

Statistical Process Control (SPC)

The purpose of Statistical Process Control is to monitor process variation, therefore allowing the user to control the process and to implement corrective actions to rectify any out of control condition, before it impacts on the customer. Put more simply it facilitates a move away from "after the event defect detection" towards "defect prevention and continuous improvement".

Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

The Production Part Approval Process outlines the methods used for the approval of production and service commodities, including bulk materials.

Robustness Engineering

The purpose of Robustness Engineering is to optimise process or product designs in a cost-effective way to minimise functional variation even though sources of variation are present. Examples of sources of variation (noises) are piece to piece variation, degradation, customer usage, climatic conditions and system to system interactions.
