MIL-STD-1553

DDC is the leading supplier of board, component, and software products for MIL-STD-1553, the long time workhorse standard for the system integration of military aircraft, ground, and space vehicles. DDC’s flagship components include the Enhanced Mini-ACE™, PCI Enhanced Mini-ACE™, and Micro-ACE™ series of products. These provide interfaces to processors, PCI buses, and “simple” (non-processor) systems. DDC’s Micro-ACE is a 0.8 inch square plastic BGA, providing a highly compact solution. The Mini-ACE Mark3 and Micro-ACE Mark3 are powered entirely by 3.3 volts. For satellites and other spaceborne applications, DDC supplies rad hard, high-reliability versions of its 1553 components.

In addition, DDC supplies MIL-STD-1553 cards in a variety of form factors, including PMC, PCI, USB, PCMCIA, PC/104 and PC/104-Plus, cPCI, VME/VXI, and ISAbus. The card products include single-function boards for embedded applications, as well as both "communication" boards and high-end tester/simulators to support software development, system integration, and production test environments. DDC’s data solutions fulfill the expanse of military requirements including reliability, determinism, low CPU utilization, real-time performance, and ruggedness within harsh environments.
