Dulas Ltd is a leading renewable energy company with 20 years experience in the industry at an international level. The company is based around a highly qualified and experienced multi-disciplinary team encompassing all aspects of renewable energy from policy, market stimulation and resource assessment right through to research, design, training, and the implementation of wind, solar, micro hydro and biomass projects.

Highly innovative and with its own R&D capability, Dulas Ltd presently operates in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. Dulas Ltd provides power based solutions on a wide range of renewable energy options, for anything from commercial requirements in the UK to communities or complete hospitals in remote corners of the planet, such as in Asian, African and Latin American countries.

The flexible approach to solutions offered to our customers is possible because of the separate departments within Dulas Ltd. For example the REsolutions department has over 10 years of experience in the assessment and impact prediction of renewable energy developments, the monitoring and evaluation of renewable energy resources and the formulation of energy policy at regional, national and international levels. The Environmental department is comprised of experienced energy policy specialists and environmental managers, supported by multi-disciplinary engineering staff.

The Dulas Hydro department has a wealth of practical experience of working on projects ranging from small battery charging systems of 200W up to 2MW Grid connected schemes in the UK and overseas. The team has a strong international reputation for evaluating, designing, and implementing hydropower projects in South America, Africa, Asia, Europe and the UK. The Dulas Hydro department has expertise in design, project management, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning and training.

The Dulas Solar department specialises in the design and supply of photovoltaic (PV) power sources for a wide range of applications; providing a complete service from resource assessment and system design right through to manufacture and installation. The Dulas Solar team specialises in system design and manufacture, PV module supply, building integrated PV, grid connection, medical refrigeration, water pumping and other applications such low cost rural electrification, telecommunications, emergency/backup systems, streetlights and remote solar home systems.

As well as several UK based renewable energy schemes, Dulas Ltd are also have projects underway in Sri Lanka, the Yemen, Nigeria and Ghana. Dulas Ltd have for years been responsible for supporting many of the main Non-government and Aid Organisations with "Cold Chain" equipment. This includes solar powered vaccine storage refrigerators and freezers, supplying many remote medical centres and field teams with efficient and reliable equipment for immunisation programmes and blood storage.

Dulas Ltd, as lead consultants, have recently completed a World Bank funded programme to produce a Guide covering the issues related to the connection of embedded generators to the grid system in Sri Lanka.

The project included preparing procedures for processing generator applications, defining the effects on grid security and stability, detailing the interconnection protection requirements. The Guide will be implemented by the CEB as the regulations covering the connection of all embedded generators up to 10MW.

Dulas Ltd also supply a range of products to the renewables industry, these include intake screens for mini and micro hydropower schemes. These Aquashear©, coanda effect screen is proven to reduce maintenance downtime, initial capitol costs and have a payback period of 2 to 4 years depending on the application.

Dulas Ltd are also partner consultants of the consortium preparing the Wales Renewable Energy Study for the National Assembly. The Dulas REsolutions team also provide the secretariat for the National Assembly Renewable Energy Group (NASEG). In addition to this work the team also prepare Environmental Impact Assessments for wind and hydro renewable energy site developers.
