ELSAMPROJEKT
A/S is a consulting engineering company owned by the power generators in the
western part of Denmark with approx. 200 employees.
ELSAMPROJEKT’s know-how derives from 25 years’ practical experience within the energy sectors in Denmark and abroad. We enjoy a close working relationship with the operating personnel of our founding power utilities, which enables us to offer our assistance for the design and planning, project management and commissioning of electricity producing plants and other energy plants based on hands-on experience.
Working with practical issues alongside comprehensive research and development projects has created an organisation with experts having specialist knowledge of a host of areas from boilers with advanced steam data, district heating, biomass, wind energy, environmental management and quality assurance to project management and implementation.
ELSAMPROJEKT’s prime areas are:
ELSAMPROJEKT’s R&D activities comprise:
Furthermore, ELSAMPROJEKT takes on detailed design of auxiliary equipment, piping, electrical installations and control systems as well as civil engineering.
As
politicians and society have made increasingly urgent requests for an
efficient, economical and environmentally friendly energy supply,
ELSAMPROJEKT has taken an active part in the development of state-of-the-art
materials, processes and construction methods, and today we design power
plants using the latest in materials and technology.
ELSAMPROJEKT has been engaged in research, development, preliminary investigations and implementation of local combined heat and power projects realised over the past decade. We have a long history of designing plants for all kinds of fuels such as household/urban waste, gas, biomass and co-firing of these fuels. Our track record shows plants ranging from 2 to 600 MWe. The utilisation of industrial surplus energy is another of ELSAMPROJEKT’s fields of activity.
From
the early 1970s ELSAMPROJEKT has been involved in the development of
sophisticated wind turbines from foundation to nacelle. We have carried out
calculations of components and subsystems using state-of-the-art computer
programs for load and strength calculations. Another speciality is the
assessment and measurement of wind conditions together with optimal siting
of wind turbines to ensure the highest possible power production. In
addition, ELSAMPROJEKT has also undertaken planning, erection, commissioning
and operation of onshore and offshore wind farms, either as power producing
plants exclusively, based on wind, or as combined wind/diesel/desalination
plants.
ELSAMPROJEKT possesses comprehensive expertise on connections from the power plant to the consumer as well as on interconnections between countries. We carry out general and detailed design, layout of transmission and distribution systems as well as installation and project management.
The environmental impact of the production of electricity and energy cannot be ignored. ELSAMPROJEKT offers professional consultancy in the environmental field in order to ensure, in close co-operation with our client, that the project is sustainable from an environmental point of view. Our expertise covers:
The consultancy services offered by ELSAMPROJEKT cover all phases of a project from the preliminary investigations to the commissioning of the plant and handing over the final documentation, such as:
In the initial phase:
In the implementation phase:
and last but not least plant operation.
ELSAMPROJEKT makes extensive use of advanced software and hardware engineering tools for the performance of the wide variety of assignments such as the DIgSILENT (DIgital SImulation and Electrical NeTwork calculations), EMTP (ElectroMagnetic Transients Program), EMTDC (ElectroMagnetic Transients in AC/DC networks), SETPOS (Electromechanical Transients Program), NEPLAN2000 (Integrated program package for Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, Harmonic Analysis and Relay Selctivity Analysis), MEXICO (Economic and Dependability Analysis Program), Plant Design Management System (PDMS - an advanced 3D design program).
Germany, Sweden, Costa Rica, Poland, the CIS, Mongolia, Egypt, Ireland, Tanzania, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Belize, Sri Lanka, Wales, Northern Ireland, Malaysia, Mozambique, Cape Verde, India, the Palestine Autonomy, Norway, Czech Republic, Kyrgyzstan, England, and Spain.
