Mike Tierney, Cisco Systems UK
Mike Tierney was appointed Finance Director of Cisco Systems UK in 1996 and, therefore, has been responsible for the financial function of Cisco through the period of its most spectacular growth. However, he sees his role as extending far beyond that of pure finance and involves himself in 'the sharp end' of the business - the customer sale. As a result, his sales colleagues consider him an important part of their team. Mike has held a number of senior positions over the years in organisations such as Amdahl, Schlumberger ATE, Emulex Europe, TT Systems Ireland and KPMG.
