From 1st December 2007, Solios Group changes its visual identity and strengthens its belonging to the Fives group.

“Designing today the plants of the future” is a shared credo within the whole Fives group.

To express the strength of our network, all group entities will adopt the new Fives visual identity. Therefore, from 1st December 2007, Solios Group adopts the new visual identity of the Fives group and our new brand name will become Fives Solios.

But our company names, legal terms and coordinates remains unchanged.

In accordance with its commitment, Solios Carbone, Solios Environnement, Solios Thermal and Solios Services will still provide you both the technology and the performances under the Fives Solios brand name.

Fives Solios develops innovative solutions suited to increasingly strict environmental standards to reduce pollution emissions. Moreover, Fives Solios most particularly works on reducing energy consumption in its processes and equipment. Yprios (Dual Suction System on pots) associated with our latest generation of potrooms gas treatment, enables emission rates of aluminium produced to be lower than 0,3 kg/t while at the same time improving the working conditions in the electrolysis reduction lines.

Fives Solios works in partnership with its customers to create and develop the future of the aluminium industry, by bringing solutions adapted to the growing capacity of their smelters equipped with high amperage pots, by proposing Anode plants with a capacity of 60 tph.

Fives Solios expertise is to design and supply process equipment and turnkey plants for the main aluminium producers worldwide in three key sectors:

• Reduction Area: Gas Treatment Centers and Bath Processing Plants. Fives Solios is well known for providing high quality equipment in terms of performance, reliability and ease of maintenance. Each process is an integrated part of the aluminum production process and as such is designed to operate continuously.
• Carbon Area: Green Anode Plants including Carbon Butts Processing and Pitch Fume Treatment systems, Pitch storage and processing, Firing Systems & Fume Treatment Systems for anode baking furnaces. Fives Solios leadership in this area is based on a unique expertise in process know-how and industrial engineering. Fives Solios has also developed over the years innovative solutions such as Rhodax for dry material preparation, IMC for paste preparation, Xelios for anode forming and Eolios for pitch fume treatment.
• Casthouse Area: Fives Solios is specialized in the design, fabrication and start-up of Melting and Holding furnaces including water cooling systems as well as integration of downstream casting machines. Fives Solios also supplies Heat Treatment furnaces for rolling mills and associated control systems.
