History

Harling Menzies Executive Search was established in 1995 and its success led to an MBO in 1998. The last six years has focussed on International Executive Search covering key commercial functions across consumer products and service sectors. Finance positions ranging from management accountants to CFO’s now represents in excess of 20% of our total search business. International tax roles in EMEA, the Far East and The Americas have become a particular specialism.

The freedom we are given to live and breathe our clients business generates a unique insight, which when combined with leading search technology, results in the ideal candidate selection. We employ an experienced team of multi-lingual researchers who play an unusually prominent role in the process. Their involvement with clients is as comprehensive, and in our view as important, as our consultants. This frontline approach is a fundamental ingredient to great search.

Probably our most popular differentiator in comparison to the larger search firms relate to “off limits” restrictions. We have intentionally decided to work with no more than two organisations in each sector amounting to approximately 25 global clients in total. This means we can offer our clients, unusually high levels of search manoeuvrability in their sector or peripheral sectors.
