ICEC was founded in 1991 after the 2nd World Climate Conference in Geneva when the ICEC founders organized the World Clean Energy Conference in Geneva in response to the pressing need for clean, sustainable energy development, as highlighted a year later at the UN Conference on Environment & Development in Rio. The Global Energy Charter, proclaimed in Rio in 1992 is the policy framework for the activities of ICEC.
Development, production and marketing of the cleanest possible and most effective energy systems and services, clean fuel production and applications, clean power generation and energy storage, energy-efficient systems, recyclable energy products.
Increasing investments in the Eastern and Western hemispheres and the rapid implementation of new ICEC technologies in exponentially growing world markets are attracting many new investors. The world Headquarters are located at a modern office building in Zurich. Going public is planned.
Subsidiaries, research, manufacturing and distribution partners are presently located in Australia, Austria, Benelux, China, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Spain, Thailand, UK, USA. More subsidiaries and Joint Ventures are planned in major industrialized and developing areas: Africa, Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Mexico, Middle East, Philippines, Russia and other East European States, Tunisia, Turkey, New Zealand.
