The Problem

Sensitivity

MagShoe is able to detect a full range of object sizes: starting with objects as small as a cardboard knife blade, through handguns and gun parts and up to even much bigger objects.

The interface

	All detection stages may be monitored using the user-friendly interface. This interface is also being used to change the detection thresholds and to control the system settings through easy-to-use menus.
	The amount of metal detected in each part of each shoe is displayed numerically on a big and clear alphanumeric display. There are also bright light-bars that show graphically the amount of metal on each part of each shoe, so that the system operator can see the result at a fast glance.
	Any metal amount that is above the thresholds triggers an audible alarm (that can be silenced at will) and is also noted as a bright red light on the display.
