INDUSTRI-TEKNIK Bengt Fridh AB is a family-owned company located in Arlöv just outside Malmö in the south of Sweden. For more than 30 years we have worked with heating, preheating, heat exchangers, boilers, furnaces, incinerators, melting, burner systems, control systems and much more for both light and heavy industry all around the world. Mostly turnkey systems.

Usually are our systems specially constructed and manufactured for the application at our customers. The customer’s demands and the application properties are in focus when we construct and manufacture our solution. Our solutions are always made for high energy efficiency, low environmental contribution, with secure and economic construction. Our systems are tailor-made for each application.

In our company we have construction competence for mechanical, electrical and control, ceramics and fibres and competence in heat transfer, fluid mechanic and energy conversion. We have mechanical, electrical, control, tube and high temperature isolation manufacturing departments. Our service department is used to fast response and we have 24-hour duty.

On our reference list we have international companies as SSAB, Avesta Sheffield, Volvo, Perouda, Skoda, Outokumpu, Elkem, Alcoa, Hydro, Statoil, Shell, Neste, Alfa Laval, Stora, Kvearner, EKA Chemicals, Akzo Nobel and more. We also work with a lot of smaller companies around the world in melting metals, food processing, oil, gas and water treatment, incineration, drying etc.

Aluminium Preheating System, APS
For the primary aluminium industry are we manufacturing our own constructed system for preheating the cathodes in the cells up to 900-950ºC before putting the cell to work. By using the APS system the lifetime for the cell is increased 1-2 years, compared to the normal coke-preheating. The system consists of one container on wheels containing the gas safety equipment and the computer control equipment. The two or four burners are tailor-made for the cells and use pulsation flames to maximise the heat transfer to the cathode for best isothermal result. As combustion air it uses either compressed air or an air fan. For the system using compressed air it can use an ejector system for reducing the consumption of compressed air by 70-75%. As fuel we use natural gas, propane or light oil.

Burner systems
In our burner systems we mostly use burners from Hauck, Hegwein and KromSchröder. For special cases we use own developed burners. As fuel are we used to most oils and liquids, gases like natural gas, LPG, hydrogen and different mixtures of gases like biogas. We deliver and build burners from a couple of kW up to about 30 MW each.

Furnaces
We build furnaces and ovens for melting, heat treatment, homogenising, ageing, baking etc. We do rotating drums for drying different types of materials. Normally we equip these furnaces and ovens with burner and control systems.

Incinerators
For destruction of toxic containment in air, water, process gases etc one way is to oxidise and destruct it. This can be done in several ways depending on the substance character and the mixture properties.

Catalytic systems
By using a catalytic material and preheated process gas it is possible to oxidise the substance at low temperature without any open flame. Catalytic system is normally used for lower concentrations.
