ISCAR's Headquarters is in an area that is cool and relaxing - very conducive to deep concentration and innovation. The area surrounding ISCAR is landscaped with statues and other works of art. Industrial and art museums add to the atmosphere. The complex has been designed with one basic idea in mind - to stimulate creative thinking. This creativity has resulted in the innovation that has made ISCAR one of the fastest growing companies in the metalworking industry. Each and every year since it was founded, ISCAR has reported an increase in sales. During good times and bad, it has been ISCAR's innovations in metal cutting that has, and will most probably continue to, propel the company to greater and greater heights.
The
manufacturing facilities are divided by function and purpose. Separate
buildings produce and press carbide powders. There are additional factories
specializing in tools for the automotive and aerospace industries. Milling
products and toolholders are in separate facilities. There is a factory
dedicated solely to tool holders and another built just to produce micro
products. The entire organization is arranged to allow for specialization.
It is this separation of activities that has resulting in hundreds of new
products and product variations each year. Over half of the company's sales
are from products developed within the last five years.
Several years ago ISCAR's President, Eitan Wertheimer, had an unconventional and controversial idea. He decided to paint the floors of all of the factories yellow! Yellow floors in an industrial facility were unheard of. How could these floors possibly stay clean? To everyone's surprise, the floors do stay clean and yellow. Tools are put away after use. Spilled oil is cleaned immediately. Efficient, clean and orderly production has resulted. Quality is enhanced. All ISCAR factories are spacious and air-conditioned all year, and the yellow floors have provided a bright, cheery atmosphere. General working conditions are excellent. The philosophy of Stef Wertheimer, ISCAR's founder and Chairman, is being enhanced with the continuous development and improvements of products and services. Throughout the company hard-working individuals apply themselves to the creation of efficient, practical and economical solutions for clients all over the world.
ISCAR is a full-line ISO 9001 and QS-9000 certified producer and supplier of precision carbide metalworking tools. As a result of its high quality and innovative products, this privately owned multinational company is a world leader in major manufacturing industries, including automotive, aerospace, dies and molds and a variety of mass production industries.
The Management
This dynamic organization could only have come into being with the
dynamic leadership of Stef Wertheimer, ISCAR's founder and Chairman and his
vision for ISCAR's success. Eitan Wertheimer, ISCAR's President, made it
come true with ingenious manufacturing and marketing techniques. Jacob
Harpaz, the company's Chief Executive Officer, is the driving force behind
ISCAR's innovation, technology and the desire to assist customers to reduce
their production costs.
