Kavminvodyavia Aviation Enterprise

"Kavminvodyavia" is a Federal State Unitary Aviation Enterprise. Today, "Kavminvodyavia" is the biggest company in the South of the Russian Federation. It is a full complex, consisting of the Aviation Company, two airports (one at Stavropol), and a hotel, and operates regular, charter flights all over the world including to Spain, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Israel. The airport at Mineralnye Vody, dates back to 1925 when it was just an air station comprising small buildings. It served the civil planes "K-5", "ANI-9", "PO-2" and later, TU-104 and TU-124. In 1977, the aviation group of Mineralnye Vody started operating TU-134 and TU-154 planes.

In 1961, the civil aviation group was organized. This unique group consists of highly qualified pilots and navigators. In 1961 too, the steward crew was established. Today, the steward crew comprises the best skilled staff, some of which have been trained abroad by foreign airliners. They have perfect command of serving the passengers in first, business and economy classes. In general, "Kavminvodyavia" is constantly improving the passenger service on-board the aircraft.

The on-board business class service has been on offer since 1995, when planes were specially re-equipped in Ireland. In 1997, Aviation Enterprise purchased the new TU-204 aircraft, which is successfully operated by the pilots and engineering groups.

Safety is the main aim of our enterprise: we achieve this through permanent renovation of aircraft, constant aircraft serving and crew training during flights, and special centres for flight simulation. The TU-204 and TU-334 airliners are the future of Kavminvodyavia. An up-to-date air traffic control system will allow any airliners to make an accurate soft landing in any weather. Our company improves and develops our technical and finance base and buys new facilities aimed to automate technological processes.

"Kavminvodyavia" has received the National Aviation Prize, "The Wings of Russia" each year since 1999. This is an annual prize for the best aviation enterprises in the country. In 2001, our enterprise won this prize for being the best aviation enterprise among international airliners. In general, the size of international transportation has increased more than threefold.

"Kavminvodyavia" uses the International Communication Systems of SITA and AFTN. Personnel of our company are trained for operating the computer reservation system "Gabriel". "Kavminvodyavia" is registered in both ICAO and IATA. Airport "Mineralnye Vody" (a part of the enterprise) is used as a maintenance base, providing services for all Russian and most western-type aircraft. Radio and light technical equipment allow the airport to operate 24 hours a day.

According to our Government's program "South of Russia", we are set to build a second taxiway and a new airport complex. At present, "Kavminvodyavia" has 2 modern aircraft TUPOLEV - 204 and we are planning to purchase a third. There are TU - 134 and TU - 154 already in the aviation enterprise but we will enhance the future of our company with new aircraft TUPOLEV - 334.

The main priorities of the company are SAFETY, REGULARITY and SERVICE! We really value our passengers and aim to do everything in our power to help them. Fly with us and you will see that "Kavminvodyavia" is always up to mark!
