The controller needs to see all the
aircraft in the vicinity of the airport to be able to keep the traffic
moving smoothly and avoid hazardous situations. Navia Aviation’s NOVA
Air Traffic Control Systems combine radar signals with information from
different database systems at the airport to give the controllers large,
daylight-bright ATM displays with target labeling, map overlays and
windowing of the traffic picture and supporting information. But what’s
more, when configured for surface movement guidance and control, the
NOVA 9000 interacts with various information, sensor and guidance
systems to give the controller an immediate overview of everything
moving on or near the airport surface, regardless of visibility, and
incorporates sophisticated runway incursion and collision-avoidance
