Advertising in Nuclear Energy Asia will enable you to develop key commercial
contacts in Asia’s rapidly growing nuclear energy industry.
Asia is the only region in the world where electricity generating capacity
and specifically nuclear power is growing significantly. In contrast with
North America and most of Western Europe where growth in electricity generating
capacity and particularly nuclear power has levelled out for many years,
a number of countries in East and South Asia are planning and building new
power reactors to meet their increasing demands for electricity. There are
over 111 nuclear power reactors in operation, 21 under construction and
plans to build a further 150, in the region.
Asia will add around 38 GWe of new generating capacity per year between
now and 2010 and from 2010 to 2030 56 GWe per year. Up to one third of this
will replace retired plant. This is about 36% of the world's new capacity
(current world capacity is about 3700 GWe, of which 370 GWe is nuclear).
Much of this growth will be in China, Japan, India and Korea. The nuclear
share of this to 2020 is expected to be at least 39 GWe and maybe more if
environmental constraints limit fossil fuel expansion. In addition, there
are about 56 research reactors in fourteen countries of the region. The
only major Pacific Rim countries without any kind of research reactor are
Singapore and New Zealand.
In common with other governments around the world, Asian governments
also recognize that facilitating an infrastructure led bounce would unleash
a positive economic stimulus that will help get their economies back on
the road to recovery.
Although the commercial potential of Asia’s nuclear power industry is
obvious, penetrating the market can often prove difficult for Western suppliers.
Making the right commercial contacts is the key to success in this market.
In Asia, it’s not what you know but who you know that counts. Many companies
with great technology at competitive prices have failed to win business
in the region simply because they haven’t got a strong enough relationship
with the regions key project stakeholders. In contrast, those companies
that have taken the time to identify and build relationships with the key
individuals responsible for Asia’s nuclear energy projects are currently
enjoying tremendous commercial success in the region.
Advertising in Nuclear Energy Asia will enable you to penetrate this
rapidly growing market by helping you to develop the right commercial contacts
in the region, with moderate investment and comparably low risk.

Nuclear Energy Asia is designed to provide advertisers with direct response
from key commercial contacts in Asia.
Nuclear Energy Asia utilises a variety of response mechanisms to facilitate
contact between readers and advertisers.
- Your advertisement will be strategically placed
within the publication so that readers can contact you directly.
- Selected advertisers are able to contribute editorial
that is of genuine value to the reader. Advertisers who contribute editorial
tend to get higher levels of direct response than those
who simply advertise. Advertorials will not be accepted.
- The publication is available in both printed format and in searchable
digital format (eBook). The content you provide for the eBook
can be updated twice throughout the year free of charge. Updating your
company’s content in the eBook will enable you to maintain high
levels of response for many months after Global Infrastructure
is published.
- To enable direct response from buyers that are
using the internet to source and research new products, services and
suppliers, all advertisers will receive a 600 word search engine
optimised company profile on the official Global Infrastructure
website. The profile can contain text, still images and/ or embedded
video content and will be hyperlinked back to your company’s own website.
The profile will be search engine optimised, which means that when a
search term related to your product or service is entered on Google
your company will appear in the first few listings.
- Advertisers will also be entered onto the Global Infrastructure
‘Request For Quotation System’ database. When a buyer has a
requirement for a particular product or service they fill in a simple
form and then submit it. We then verify that the enquiry is bona-fide
and forward the enquiry to those advertisers on our database who can
fulfil the buyer’s request.
- Each copy of Global Infrastructure contains a reader reply
card, which readers can complete to get further information
from advertisers. These enquiries will be forwarded to you for twelve
months following publication as soon as we receive them.
