Engineering Services

The NUKEM Technologies range goes well beyond decommissioning and waste treatment. The company offers its customers a broad spectrum of engineering services. A particular highlight is engineering for fuel production processes. NUKEM is an important part of the PBMR project in South Africa and supplies the basic and detailed engineering for fuel production for the planned pebble-bed reactor in South Africa. The design of the fuel is based on German HTR technology: graphite pebbles which contain coated uranium oxide.
