OutlookSoft – Business Performance Management

Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, OutlookSoft is a software company working with some of the world’s most successful organisations on improving business performance by unifying data from all existing systems to provide actionable information for all managers when and where they need it. The solutions are designed to be easy to implement and yield a very high return on investment. A pioneer and leader in the business performance management (BPM) market space, OutlookSoft's unique approach to BPM from a thought, technology and implementation perspective has won industry acclaim and customers across the globe including Dell Computer, BP, and Telecom Italia.

OutlookSoft is a fast-growing company acknowledged for its clear vision and ability to execute. The company was founded in 1999 by a team of former Hyperion senior executives who, after recognising the need for a "next-generation" solution for the emerging Business Performance Management market, left Hyperion to start OutlookSoft. These industry veterans, with a pedigree stretching back to the beginnings of the PC-based management information revolution, set out to harness new, more powerful and flexible technologies to deliver an unprecedented level of real-time, collaborative business performance management capabilities. With the creation of the OutlookSoft Enterprise Analytic Portal (EAP), they succeeded.

OutlookSoft recently launched its UK presence, with a highly experienced team led by MD Richard Hawksworth, who, together with Director of Consulting Martin Lloyd, was one of the original team who brought Hyperion to the UK in the late 1980’s. With Sales Director Colin Privett bringing experience from companies including Oracle and Hyperion, the OutlookSoft UK team offers unparalleled BPM-related vision, knowledge and expertise.

Our Vision
The UK team’s vision of how an effective BPM solution should be implemented can be summarised into the mnemonic ‘B-WISE’.

B – Breadth of information. This includes historical and actual financial information, operational data, KPIs, predictive data, and the unstructured data (e.g., Word documents, email, etc) found across thousands of desktops within the organisation.

W – Web-based. For ease of collection, distribution and accessibility to actionable information, anytime, anywhere.

I – Integrated information. Ideally all information should be accessible through a single system regardless of its original source.

S – Speed of delivery. Real time responses to actual events should be achievable. The ‘virtual’ close is becoming a reality.

E – Excel. The financial management application everyone uses today is not going away. Any BPM solution that is going to get “buy-in” throughout the organisation must allow managers to use familiar, already accepted tools.

The Solution.
