Proman Energy

Proman Energy, through a process of "partnering" or through "Joint Ventures", are able to work closely with a client to bring power projects from renewable energy sources, to fruition.

Proman Energy have a wealth of experience in implementing both CHP and renewable power generation projects. We have an "in house" multi disciplinary team of specialists, that will engineer an optimum energy solution around the requirements of maximising the economic viability of a renewable energy scheme whilst minimising both environmental impact and technical risk.

We specialise in the following key areas:

Proman Energy together with Spilling Energy Systems have developed an economically attractive and highly efficient steam engine based power train for the production of energy from biomass and waste sources.

Spilling steam engines are perfectly suited for biomass and waste to energy projects. Biomass fired boilers are continually having to cope with varying heating fuel calorific values, the amount of fuel available and the decrease in boiler efficiency between cleaning intervals. These operational realities result in continually changing steam outputs and steam parameters and ask for a reliable, robust and insensitive prime mover that also ensures a high power output under these varying conditions. The superior efficiency and part load performance characteristics of the modern, "oil free" Spilling steam engine, when compared to equivalent rated steam turbines, are the exceptional features of these machines.

We are able to offer all the services associated with the production of electricity from landfill gas. In particular, Proman Energy have developed its own standardised "packaged", power generation unit. This design is available in standard ratings from 600kWe to 1350kWe.

Proman are in the process of building four anaerobic digestion facilities across the UK, that will dispose of wet waste products whilst simultaneously producing electricity for the UK grid through the utilisation of the produced biogas in spark ignition gas engines.

Proman have developed a 1MWe (equivalent to 220 tonne/ day of wet waste) modular design that readily lends itself to scaling up to suite larger project capacities. We are able to offer a full design and build service based around our expertise in this area of renewable energy.

Please feel free to contact Theo Labuschagne or Peter Loftus to discuss you application or to request further information. We also have offices in Portugal and South Africa with contact details on the web site.
