Sapphire Primary Care Developments are part of the Celesio AG Group, who are the number one pharmaceutical wholesaler and pharmacy retailer in both the UK and Europe, with an annual turnover in excess of £18 billion. In the UK there are three principal operating divisions, namely AAH Pharmaceuticals, the wholesale business, Lloyds Pharmacy, the community pharmacy operation with some 1,500 pharmacies and Sapphire Primary Care Developments, a specialist medical centre development company.
As a provider of healthcare services Sapphire Primary Care Developments recognises the need to work in partnership with other healthcare practitioners in offering the best professional services and advice to patients in premises designed for that purpose. With almost 200 pharmacies within primary care premises and over a decade of experience in these premises, Sapphire Primary Care Developments believes it is well placed to undertake the development process from the inception of an idea to the completion of a new building, and thereafter the day-to-day running needs that Practices will have.
Our approach to the development of new primary care premises is to work as a team with all of the parties who have an involvement, including the Medical Practice, Primary Care Trust, District Valuer, Local Authority and any other bodies who may have a specific involvement or requirement within the development. We believe this is the only approach to take if we are to achieve the development of new primary care premises within a realistic timescale to a design which is influenced by the Medical practice / Other Users and will provide flexible and cost efficient accommodation.
With a combination of our experienced team and carefully considered design principles, we can create an attractive, highly functional building for clinical, administrative and staff needs.
Sapphire recognises that each new scheme has its own unique challenges that demand and experienced team with vision. Sapphire is particularly skilled at working across healthcare disciplines and accommodating multiple healthcare ans social care users.
Sapphire’s commitment to quality buildings is central to our company values. Unlike other developers, Sapphire is prepared to invest more at the beginning of a project in order to benefit the occupiers in the long term. The commitment to quality is demonstrated through our use of high specification materials including hardwood, natural slate and quality fixtures and fittings.
