Sarros Securities Inc was established in January 1991 and currently ranks as one of the top-ten brokerage houses in Greece in terms of trading volume and market share.

In 2002, ranked 8th in the relevant list among 81 Greek Securities firms.

The company is a member and market maker of Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) as well as a member and market maker (type A) in Athens Derivatives Exchange (ADEX). It is also a member of the Athens Derivatives Exchange Clearing House (ADECH).

Sarros Securities Inc is authorized and regulated by Hellenic Capital Market Commission for the conduct of investment services in Greece and worldwide.

Sarros Securities Inc counts more than 20.000 client accounts including local and foreign institutional investors.

The company’s network, excluding the headquarters based in Sofokleous Street, the major financial district of Athens, consists of two branches in Salonica and Piraeus as well as several introducing Brokers Offices (ELDE) around the country.

Through proprietary trading desks and strategic partnerships, we provide execution, trading and clearing services in investment products in markets around the world.

Sarros On-line trading, our proprietary on line trading website, provides buy and sell capabilities plus access to clients’ portfolios. This secure website also provides access to our library of research and analyst notes.

History

Nicholas Sarros, founder and main shareholder of Sarros Securities Inc, started his career in the area of the Greek Capital Market in 1974, while in 1984 he acquired the license of stock broker.

In January 1991, N.Sarros established Sarros Securities Inc with a share capital of 586,940 €. The next few years witnessed the company’s expansion, which led to an increase in share capital to 2,934,700 €.

Today, the equity capital of the company is 6,857,400 € , a stronger capital basis which increases more the company’s independence and reliability.

Sarros Securities Inc has participated in the major public offerings and private placements. It has also acted as a principal consultant and underwriter for several ASE listed companies.

As far as the domestic Derivatives market is concerned, Sarros Securities Inc was among the first brokerage firms to become a member of Athens Derivatives Exchange, in September 1999.

In January 2003, the company offered to its clients global access in trading and clearing in cash, derivatives and fixed income markets in the major exchanges worldwide through unique business relationships with the most sound international firms.

In October 2003, a new product added, Margin Trading. Sarros Securities Inc, through its collaboration with a local bank, offers to its clients the facility to purchase stocks on credit.

By the end of 2003, our proprietary on-line trading website will be introduced, that gives to our clients on-line access to manage their portfolio and a direct link for trading.

The importance of providing value added services to our clients, has been further emphasised the last years. To maintain our prime position, we made a significant investment in information technology and restructuring. We contained our costs and applied a conservative policy to overcome the obstacles of the current difficult economic environment.
