SOLARC :: Innovative Solarproukte GmbH

www.solarc.de

The SOLARC company has been founded in 1997, with the objective to develop photovoltaic-powered electrical products and systems in the low and medium power range. These are, on the one hand, consumer products and, on the other hand, industrial products in the form of concepts and custom-made solutions for the self-contained power supply of off-mains products.

SOLARC provide competence based on fundamental scientific expertise in the areas of photovoltaics, storage media and material research, and on years of experience in the electronics sector.

With top-quality products and a sensible price / performance ratio, SOLARC aim to achieve an increasing acceptance of photovoltaics as a form of energy generation on the part of the consumer.

These objectives are put into practice through

In the following some examples of SOLARC's products will be presented in detail.

Universal Charger Series "e.GO"

e.GO! is a high quality solar power source for quickly and reliably charging mobile devices such as mobile phones, iPods, PDAs, digital cameras, camcorders, etc.. It is especially designed for generating a stable power output independent of the actual light radiation and for a quick and safe charging of both internal batteries as well as external devices. This is achieved by means of a sophisticated microprocessor control unit inside the handy device and some novel charging methods for all kinds of common battery systems (NiCd, NiMH, Li-Ion, RAM) which make e.GO! a real high-tech product with multifunctional features.

Solar car charger "CarSolar"

The Solar car charger offsets the discharge of starter batteries in parked vehicles caused by continuously running electrical systems and the effects of temperature. The battery loses its charge and is permanently damaged.

Avoid unnecessary trouble and costs! Position the solar module behind the car's front windshield and connect it to the battery via the cigarette lighter in order to neutralize these capacity losses. The charge provided by solar energy is enough to compensate for the battery's loss of power.

Solar radiation measuring device "MacSolar"

The MacSolar measuring device was developed for engineers, architects, installers and observers. The measured values for intensity of irradiation and temperature are used as a starting point for simulating the energy yield of photovoltaic modules. In order to achieve a high precision rating, this simulation calculates bases on the type of installation and the quality of the modules. The MacSolar, with its weather-resistant plastic case, was developed for exterior use.

Solar charge regulator "SCC20"

The charge regulator SCC20 serves for the adaptation of solar modules with small and middle performance to sealed and other types of lead-acid batteries. It is a reasonably priced and, above all, power saving alternative to usual charge regulators which are maladjusted to module performances of less than 20 Wp because of their too high electricity consumption.

The SCC20 offers features such as extremely low power consumption, temperature-controlled charging characteristic for lead-acid batteries, trickle charge mode after full charge, deep-discharge protection, electronic current limitation, charge condition control via LED, very compact dimensions.

DC/DC converters "DCC2" and "DCC14"

SOLARC's electronic converters DCC2 and DCC14 have been specially designed for small solar solutions. They have been designed for reliable conversion of low voltage levels into higher, stable output voltages. Of interest, in particular, for solar modules and fuel cells where the operating point is below an acceptable range and cannot be converted with existing technologies.

The advantages of the DCC2/14 series are: Elimination of elaborate serial circuits, provision of a stable output voltage relatively independent from the input level, attainment of maximum power at various input and output levels.
