TASC Software Limited

In a highly competitive world TASC has built its success around its Business Analysis & Design capability and its attention to thorough testing and documentation, producing solutions that truly meet requirements and robust, user friendly products.

Established in 1988 and now located in rural Midhurst West Sussex, TASC initially developed bespoke additions for SunSystems® users but soon widened their portfolio by developing packaged applications for the SunSystems® market. One of its most notable successes was the data validation product UVM which has been installed in thousands of sites worldwide.

In recent years TASC has changed its focus in line with the shifting trends in software development and now concentrates on fewer packages but spread across a number of proprietary accounting packages including SunSystems®, Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains and ACCPAC.

Electronic Funds Transfer, B4B BankLinks for Business

Bespoke projects still continue to help multinational companies meet local requirements in a number of geographies, but the flagship product is now B4B BankLinks for Business which is probably the most comprehensive and widespread solution in the Electronic Funds Transfer market.

Anybody who’s tried developing for this market will soon have realised that the requirement may be global but the solution isn’t, in fact far from it. Most countries have a common national file format for their domestic payments, albeit different from any other country, but international payment files are often different from bank to bank within country, and debit collections are often different again. The other challenge is in being able to populate all of the bank specified data items when the host accounting package doesn’t cater for them comprehensively.

TASC has been developing EFT solutions for over 15 years and their latest generation of the software, B4B BankLinks for Business, has been built using the wealth of knowledge acquired in that time. The product is much more than a data reformat program; it collects and validates the Bank Details data according to the bank format you’re producing. It also has some very useful features to allow the user more options in managing the payment or debit collection process, and above average security including data encryption.

What really puts TASC in the driving seat is the structure of the product making it a comparatively rapid process to add a new bank format or even to add to other PC based host systems. The software is already available for SunSystems®, Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains® and ACCPAC® users throughout Europe as well as Japan, Oman, the USA and the Philippines, with more in the pipeline.

TASC’s plans for the future include continuing to expand the bank formats in its portfolio to meet demand as EFT gains in popularity worldwide, and by adding the product to more accounting packages. In addition TASC plans to include other functions in the payments and banking suite by including Bank Receipts Posting and Bank Reconciliation modules.
