Products

Current product line up includes TST175, TST250, TST265 (education specific), TST275, TST400 (wireless), TST500 (integrated screen, wireless, touch screen and smart-card reader optional), TST750 (laptop), and TST800 (tablet). All have Microsoft CE, XPe, Linux operating systems as options.

Of particular note are the integrated model TST500, arguably the only integrated model with smart-card-reader (therefore added security) capabilities in the market; the laptop thin client TST750, offering mobility without compromising security; and the tablet thin client TST800, this device eliminates the need for key boards, therefore more hygienic in a hospital environment amongst other benefits.

The Thinspace thin client range is further enhanced by the successful launch of its Promospace branded digital signage solutions which includes an easy to use, downloadable software package, and a range of network player (net-top box) with excellent management capability.

The key benefit of the Promospace digital signage is its simplicity (to use), and it is HD compatible. The software can also be offered as a stand-alone product, and will play on any signage players with suggested minimum hardware requirement of 1GHz CPU, 256MB, 1GB Hard Disc, 10/100 Ethernet, and VGA output.

Since its launch, Promospace is fast penetrating the education and the retail market.

Prices, delivery, services and warranty

End user prices for the thinspace models range from £127 ex vat for an entry model unit, £327 ex vat for the laptop, £355 ex vat for the integrated model with smart-card-reader, to £826 ex vat for the tablet unit. Wireless connection comes optional for the the majority of the Thinspace range.

Delivery times are normally one-two weeks for a standard model, or eight-ten weeks if average level of customization is required. Thinspace Limited will also supply special build hardware and/or customize firm ware for special projects further enhancing the offering to the end user.

Thinspace will provide technical consultation and assessment prior to recommending any of its thin client devices, followed by demo unit and test support before project deployment.

Warranty policies are 3 years return to base (Daresbury Innovation Centre, Cheshire), although it is very rare that the unit develop any fault during its life time.

Reseller Program

To further penetrate focus sectors such as education, healthcare, retail, call centres, financial and public sectors, Thinspace launched a Partner Program at the end of January 2008, with the objective of recruiting and rewarding resellers with expertise in thin client technology and, or digital signage, at three levels, Authorised, Premium, and Gold, each designed to give partners specific benefits, support and performance linked rewards.
