In March 2001 the United Kingdom Government launched NETA, the New Electricity Trading Arrangements for England and Wales. This is a competitive market for trading wholesale electricity.

Valuable experience and in-depth knowledge has been gained since that time into the complex mechanisms and requirements of NETA having asset managed a gas turbine power plant trading under these arrangements.
