Vernon-Carus manufactures their own range of branded products and are also UK distributors of products manufactured by Lohmann & Rauscher, BioMonde, Arjo Wiggins, Sengewald, Rexam SPS, Ebiox, Hawo and Interster.

In addition to a comprehensive range of traditional products including dressing packs, swabs and cotton wool, Vernon-Carus also supplies a number of innovative products including the Asherman Chest Seal for open chest injuries and the BERT endoscopy range.

A recent restructuring within the business has resulted in three defined business divisions; Perioperative, Infection Control and Wound Care.

Recent developments have led to the rapid growth of the Wound Care Division, which is proud to offer a range of wound dressings, compression therapy products, advanced wound care and orthopaedic products. The introduction of a range of innovative wound care products in June 2003, means that Vernon-Carus are able to supply a more comprehensive range of products to customers in both hospitals and the community. Particular emphasis within the wound care division is placed on our capability to supply a range of products for the treatment of problem wounds.

Wound care represents a huge global market and Vernon-Carus are committed to the development of a range of innovative products to cater for this growing market. Complications in treatments arising from the growing prevalence of gram positive bacteria, such as MRSA, has resulted in the need for more advanced wound care products to combat the spread of these infections. Vernon-Carus’ sterile larvae range is one such product that can reduce the risk of infections like MRSA.

The Wound Care product range comprises dressings for a variety of problem wounds including traumatic chest wounds, malodorous wounds, diabetic wounds, decubitus ulcers, burns and leg ulcers. Our compression therapy range features a comprehensive selection of products for the treatment of leg ulcers and lymphoedema. The advanced wound care range includes sterile larvae and BioBags for the removal of necrotic and infected tissue, Neoform scar garments for the treatment and prevention of hypertrophic scars and Gel FX HydroCare, a hydrogel coated polyester net dressing, which allows the exit of exudate through the dressing and reduces the risk of maceration of the peri-wound area.
