The Lighting Device Division of WACOM ELECTRIC CO., LTD., has been providing Solar Simulators and I-V Measurement Systems for over 20 years to almost all of the PV makers in Japan and also most of the main PV research institutions in Japan as well as in Europe. The company has been developing the technology by responding to the requirements of its main customers.

Feature

WACOM supplies Xenon Lamp manufactured by our own Light Source Division to Solar Simulator. We have a wide range of products from small to large irradiation areas and from PV Cell applications to PV Module application.  These are the Continuous Light

Solar Simulator for PV Cells from 50x50mm to 450x450mm irradiation area and the Long Pulse (80_800msec) Solar Simulator for PV Modules up to 1.6 x 1.2M irradiation area.

Along with the Simulator, we have also developed the IV Measurement System which is available for High Speed Measurement (250_10000_sec/point). The customer can also choose the option of Low Speed

Measurement (25_1000msec/point) which is especially suited to DSSC measurement.

Speciality

We are the first company to develop and sell Double or even Triple Light Source (Xe/Ha) Solar Simulators in the world. These are  the best tools for Multi Junction PV Cell measurement. The latest development has introduced the Double Light Source Solar Simulator with an additional filter to absorb moisture to reproduce the phenomenon of the longer wavelength absorption by moisture in the natural atmosphere.
